About

Who are we?
Caring for an older person with disabilities can be physically and emotionally  demanding, even more when that person that is being cared for has multiple disabilities or incapacitated. One third of people age 65 and older falls each year. About 3 quarters of those spills happen at home and only 5% to 10% are caused by “dangerous activities” such as climbing a ladder or standing on a chair. That leaves a considerable number of falls owing to loss of balance, missteps, trips from feet snagged under electrical cords and slips on rugs, runners, and doormats. These falls often involve a significant amount of injury. All these will more or less be avoided if you have an ALERT   caregiver. Caregivers are still human beings and they are bound to commit mistakes when tired  and  when the seniors  being taken cared of are  grumpy. Caregiving is such an emotionally draining experience and caregivers have a high rate of  burnout and fatigue compared to the office or construction work.

In Home Care are limited to non medical services. This may include non personal care like doing laundry, picking up around the house or light housekeeping, reading newspaper out loud, preparing meals, to personal needs such as assisting in their bathing and oral hygiene, grooming and dressing assistance, shaving, medication reminders, feeding assistance, going to the bathroom, moving from their bed to a chair, chair to bed, walking. Most important, this service includes companionship – someone who adds conversation and friendship to the life of an elderly person who is homebound, physically impaired, has difficulty getting around, or may be lonely. This at-home alternative to institutional care is not only cost effective, but allows seniors to maintain a much-desired level of independence in familiar surroundings.

In-Home Care-giving services enable the elderly to live independently and provide concerned families with a satisfying alternative to institutional senior care. As long as aging population are able to manage, studies show that it may be best to err on the side of independence.

People who continue to exercise control over their own lives rank themselves as more alert, active and vigorous. Home caregivers are there only to provide adequate care and encourage as much independence as possible.

Actions that may seem small to non seniors such as taking their opinions seriously and listening when they talk will help aging population feel that they have some control over their lives.

Elderly people feels uncomfortable if they are being treated like babies instead of senior adults.
